I am doing soo much!

Just a quick update on all of my new tricks! While we were in South Dakota I started saying "yayaya ." I now say 'mama, dada, gaga, baba too.' I am now waving a lot too!! I can now feed myself only missing sometimes! Momma has been giving me more foods that I can feed myself too! I am now eating things like rice cakes, graham crackers, feeding myself peas and pieces of bread. I am starting to pull up on Momma ALL the time! I can do it holding onto just one of her hands! I still have not much interest in crawling but can get up on my knees but still just go backwards. I'd rather walk around holding onto Momma's hands. I am still waking up 1 time at night and waking up early but if Momma doesn't come get me right away I fall back asleep and let everyone sleep later! ( on Sunday it was 8 am when we woke up!!) I am getting soo big! I went to the Dr last week and am now 20 lbs 9 oz and 28 3/4 inches long! I am healthy as can be and loving being a boy!

I had such a fun time visiting everyone in South Dakota! One day when Momma came home from work Daddy drove us to this place and we picked up a car. We drove it to Daddy's work and put my seat in it and Mommy drove us home in it. Momma put me to bed and after we had slept a little bit she got me and put me in the weird car. I was awake and we went and picked Daddy up from his work. Then we started driving... and driving... and driving... I slept while it was dark out. Once when Daddy was driving he hit a big tarp in the road and scared everyone. Momma told him to pull over and she checked to make sure I was ok ( I was sleeping so I didn't care other than it woke me up!) A man driving a big truck stopped and helped us look at the car and make sure nothing was broken. ( A small piece had cracked but it wasn't a big deal). We drove for a long time and when I woke up my Daddy decided he would sit with me in the back seat while Momma drove. She was driving on this road and we were the only ones on the road pretty much and then she said "Oh No, there is a cop behind us..." well uh oh he pulled Momma over! She gave him her drivers license and another paper and he just told her to slow down ( side note I was only going 71 in a 65!!). She didn't get a ticket just a nice warning. She was glad! We made it to Council Bluffs and Momma decided that we should eat at a place called Runza. We stopped and got out and ate. We wanted to drive around there but decided we were soo close to see Oma and Opa that we should just keep going! We got to see them around 3pmish on Friday ( June 18th)... We had to go eat ice cream and I even got a couple bites! ( Nana started a BAD habit!) We went shopping at a few places then headed to Oma and Opa's house so I could take a bath and go to bed since it had been a LONG day! It took me a little bit to fall asleep since I had never been there before but then I slept pretty good. On Saturday we got up and went on a walk and looked at some corn fields which is something I've never seen! We got ready and went to dinner at this place called Hy-Vee which Momma told me is where Daddy used to work! We went to a few stores again and then went home to get ready for our big bbq later that night! I took a nap and then when I woke up I got to go sit on a BIG old tractor! We went across the street from my Oma and Opa's house and they pulled it out of a big barn and Momma and I sat on it first. It was really neat! After we left there we went to get ready for our party and I met a LOT of people! All of Daddy's family was there. Then after a little while Momma's brother Jeremy and his family came to see me! I got to meet my Aunt Lindsey and my cousins Chelsea and Micah! I liked them and sat with them and had my picture made with them! I went to bed a little while after they got there. On Sunday morning we went to church and I sat in the service while we sang songs and then when a man came up to talk I started talking too so Daddy and Momma took me out and we walked around the church. We went to this water fall place after that. Momma called it the Falls ( it is the Sioux River Falls). We took LOTs of pictures of me on the rocks and by the water. It was a really cool place I liked it! We went home so I could take a nap and then we went to Daddy's Uncle Steve's house. I talked to a few more people and then we headed to Jeremy and Lindsey's house for supper. I was the life of the party because Chelsea fell asleep while she was eating and Micah was already sleeping when we got there! ( Ruby even took a nap with Chelsea). I talked and laughed and had a great time showing off to everyone! On Monday morning we got up early ( Momma even had to wake me up!) and went to eat some breakfast. Then we started driving again! We stopped in a place called Omaha which is where Momma and Daddy used to live. I was soo excited about it I fell asleep... OOPS! I made Momma and Daddy stop a little while later cuz Momma thought I had pooped... We got out of the car and Daddy checked me and nothing! I just tooted!! I laughed and laughed that we stopped for nothing!! I really just wanted out of my seat! We stopped a lot and it was going to be really late when we got home. Momma was tired and Daddy was too soo we stopped just outside of Nashville. Momma tried to sleep in the car but I was awake since we stopped moving. We went inside and walked around the big truck stop and I thought it was AWESOME!! I laughed and smiled and thought that being up late was just so neat! Momma and Daddy got some food and a drink and we got back in the car. I fell right to sleep and we drove home. We made it home around 1:30-2 am. I had slept a lot so I woke up at my normal time of 6am and Momma and Daddy were not too happy! They tried to get me to sleep more but I would not... Sorry!! I had a really fun time and maybe after we recover from this trip we might go and visit again!

DADA!!

I have figured out lots of new things to say in the past week. I started saying bababa and ga and Daddy has been trying for months to get me to say dadada but I would just smile and laugh at him. On Sunday afternoon we were driving around and I said da, da, just a couple of times nothing consistently. I just kept talking all throughout dinner putting all different sounds together. When we got home I went to bed and then the next morning at 6am I yelled for my "DADADA" to come and get me! :) Momma was soo proud that I finally called for Daddy instead of her in the early morning. Daddy is happy that I am asking for him now too! I know the difference between Dada and Mama too. After my nap time when I woke up I called for my Mama to come and get me since I knew Daddy was at work! I am such a smart boy!!

I am really excited because my Nana is coming to see me tomorrow! Maybe I will be able to learn her name too! Momma told me that after my Nana leaves we will get ready to go visit my Oma and Opa too! I can't wait! It is gonna be a long drive to get there but should be really fun when I get there! We will get to meet my new cousin Micah and I will get to meet my cousin Chelsea and my Aunt Lindsey too! ( As well as lots of other people!) I will have Momma take lots of pictures to show everyone!

Walking with Mommy

Daddy came up with a new name for me- Boy Wonder!! He flies me around and I smile and laugh at him. I smile and laugh at Daddy most of the time. He is such a funny person! He makes silly faces at me or makes silly sounds. I love my Daddy!!

I got my second tooth last week! I got a fever on Sunday night ( 5/23) and just was not myself all day Monday. My fever went down a little bit on Tuesday- Mommy stayed home with Daddy and I to help take care of me since I was fussy and wanted to be held a lot. Mommy noticed on Tuesday morning that my second tooth had popped through the gum. I started feeling better and on Wednesday I was doing a lot better. I got a little rash on my face but it went away fast so Mommy didn't take me to the doctor.

On Saturday Mommy and Daddy took me to some stores and then we went to a birthday party. It was supposed to be an outside party but it started raining. It stopped for a little while so I played outside in my car with Daddy but then it started raining again so we went inside. It got a little bit crowded and it was getting close to my bedtime so We decided to go home. On Sunday I woke up really early - surprise surprise- and Mommy and Daddy decided we'd go on a walk to get some donuts. We had a good walk and enjoyed the donuts when we got home. Mommy decided she wanted to set up our tent so she set it up with some help from Daddy and I got to play in it while Mommy and Daddy did some yard work. I liked playing for a while but then got tired of playing by myself. We played inside and went to a few stores to find some stuff for the yard then I got ready for bed. I slept in my bed for a while and then Mommy came in to get me and took me outside and put me in the tent. I was still sleepy but then I woke up because I couldn't figure out where I was! Mommy was laying next to me and I kept rolling on my side to try and get her. Mommy decided that I probably wasn't going to go to sleep again so rather than get no sleep and be in the tent we went back in the house. I didn't want to fall asleep again and struggled the rest of the night to sleep. Monday I was ready for my normal week and then Mommy didn't go to work so we got to play. Daddy had to go to work to do some inventory so Mommy and I decided to go with him and hang out in Chattanooga. When we got there someone was not breathing so Daddy called for an ambulance. He went to go see if he could help. Mommy and I looked for the ambulance to come. A firetruck came and a big ambulance and police cars! I was excited to see all of these things up close! They tried to help the person who was sick but he didn't wake back up. His friends were sad. Daddy had to fill out some paperwork and talk to a lot of people on the phone to help take care of everything. Mommy helped him count everything so that we could leave the hotel. We decided to go walk downtown and had a great time! We walked down by the water and I even put my toes in the water at the aquarium! I had an awesome time with my Mommy and Daddy! I can't believe I had them for 3 days!! It was the best ever!!
