7 months old!

I had a small accident at Church last Sunday and they changed my outfit, Mommy didn't like my outfit so when we got home she took it off me. I was soo tired so she just put me to bed in my diaper. I like to kick my legs up and so I kicked my blanket off and fell asleep!

I am trying to become mobile! I want to move around but I just can't quite figure it out yet! When I'm on my tummy I move backwards instead of forwards. I roll from my tummy to back and then move to my sides but don't quite get back over to my tummy. Daddy is trying to teach me to stand on my own. Today he stood me up by the ottoman and helped me hold on and I stood there without him holding onto me for about 5 seconds.

I love that it is warm outside and love to be outside all the time! Daddy takes me out in the morning and I sit in my car while he gets some projects done like mowing the lawn or painting. Then after lunch and my nap Mommy takes me outside and we usually go on a walk around the neighborhood and then walk up and down the driveway and around the yard. I take a break and swing for a little while and sometimes just play in the grass too! I get mad when we hae to go inside but by then I'm about ready for bed!

Mommy got me some new toys this week at a consignment sale. She got me my first tool box- it is a cloth box with a soft hammer, screw driver, and a wrench. Its fun to hammer things! She also got me a glow worm! It is soo neat! When I wake up at night Mommy pushes the glow worms tummy and it lights up and plays me music. I also got a few soft books that I can chew on and touch! I love getting new toys!

I started eating carrots, bananas, green beans and pears recently! I try and take bites of Mommy's pear when she is eating it. I am going to try mangos soon too! I guess that is all I have for now! Mommy bought me a swimming pool today so hopefully I will get to use it soon!

Easter is soo much fun! First my Oma and Opa came and visited me and then my Nana and Papa stopped for a little while too! I got lots of neat things from Oma and Opa. They have made sure I will be fully clothed when I get bigger! My Nana and Papa gave me some awesome sunglasses and a ball and bucket! I am excited to play with my bucket and ball!!

I also went to the Dr last week and I now weigh 19lbs 4 oz and I am 27 1/4 inches long! My Dr said I am soo healthy and growing soo well! I got 2 more shots and cried after the first one but I calmed down quickly after my Mommy picked me up.

Mommy realized last week that I do not like tomatoes. Whenever she eats spaghetti or things with tomato in them I spit up A LOT! As soon as she stopped eating them I stopped spitting up! Hopefully I will get used to them soon and she can eat that again!

I am going to lots of new places now that it is warm out! I went to the lake for the first time on Friday and enjoyed looking around. The water was still cold and I did not like it on my toes! We went to the park and I went on a real swing! I love the nice weather! Mommy and I play outside every day! She lets me ride in my car and we play in the grass too!

Some of my new tricks are I put both of my hands up to my mouth and puff up my cheeks and blow making beautiful boy noises! I can also blow raspberries when I want to. I am soo close to rolling from my back to my tummy! I can sit up for a while on my own but I get tired of it and fall backwards. I am now eating: peas, peaches, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, bananas, and banana puffs! I just tried carrots today and ate them right up! I guess that is about it for now!

Well I decided finally that I would roll over. I had done it a few times to tease Mommy and Daddy but now I do it more often! I still will fuss and cry if I don't feel like being on my tummy but eventually I either get rolled over or I roll over! I can also sit up now! Mommy has slowly been letting me sit without anything around me and on Friday last week she was taking my picture and I sat up by myself for almost 5 minutes! She was soo proud of me! I am getting to be soo big! Mommy said she's sad cuz I'm not her little baby anymore. But I can't be a little baby forever! I have started eating real food now! Mommy has given me sweet potatoes which I loved, and she gave me squash which I thought was yummy but I got a little rash from it so she stopped feeding me that! I have recently been eating avocado! It has a weird taste but I don't mind it! Mommy told me she was going to make me some peas tonite so I can try them tomorrow! On Saturday Daddy decided that since I could sit up I needed to ride in my car. Soo he got it down from the attic and strapped me in and took me for a ride in the driveway! I thought it was AWESOME!! I laughed and tried to steer with the steering wheel ( when I wasn't eating it!) And Daddy decided to try out my new big boy carseat. I still have to sit looking at the backseat but I am up higher and can see out the window now! And when we go into stored either Daddy or Mommy holds me or I get to sit in the buggy! It is soo much fun! I am excited for next week cuz my Mommy told me today that my Oma and Opa are coming to see me! I think I will get to see my Nana and Papa too!! That should be really fun!! I also have to go to the doctor to get some more nasty shots but I will see how big I am getting too! Mommy thinks I am very tall! We will find out!

6 months old!!

I can't believe it's been 6 months since Aaron's birth! It has been an amazing time to see him develop and grow! Last weekend Aaron and I went to Alabama. I didn't feel very good but I was Nana's hotel room soo off we went! Aaron had a lot of fun with his Nana! He woke her up early and was talking and talking!

I have started eating sweet potatoes now! I LOVE them! Mommy feeds them to me at lunch time and I enjoy eating them while Mommy and Daddy are eating too! Mommy let me try squash today and I really liked it too! I am working on sitting up and can hold my balance for a little while. I am getting better every day! I still don't care about rolling over. I have done it 3 times total now. I have other ways that I've figured out of getting around tho. I am still working on getting my teeth. I chew on EVERYTHING! IF you hand me anything it goes directly into my mouth. I reach and grab everything too. Mommy got me a special giraffe named Sophie that I love to chew on. It even squeaks if I squeeze it! I am getting bigger and Mommy is packing up a lot of my clothes again! She can't wait to get my next batch of clothes from my cousins! I guess that is about it for now! I go to the doctor on April 1st to get more shots and see how much I'm growing! I think I've grown a lot! I am a lot longer!

I am moving around soo much now! I have only rolled over one time. I thought I would just let everyone know I can do it but I am not interested in rolling. I have started turning myself on my play mat. Mommy lays me down on my tummy facing the fireplace, and in a few minutes I am facing the TV! She sits and watches me and can't figure out how I do it but I am moving around... I am trying to sit too. I can't do it by myself but if you set me up I can sit for about 20 seconds by myself! Mommy thinks I will skip rolling for now and work on sitting up and maybe even crawling soon... I am still working on my tooth as well... My girlfriend got her first tooth last week so I need to catch up! ( she is 5 weeks older than me so its ok that she got hers before me!)

On Saturday and Sunday this last week Mommy and Daddy took me outside a lot! It was soo warm outside! I didn't know what to think! I was so small when it was like this before I don't really remember it! It was nice to sit outside and to go on walks without having to be under tons of blankets and wearing a hat!

Mommy took some of the clothes I've outgrown or didn't wear to a store here to see if we could get some money for them. We had to walk around a few stores while they looked at the clothes but then when we went back they gave Mommy $37 for the clothes! She was glad to make some extra money to buy me some new clothes! I am outgrowing the stuff I have now and I don't have much to wear if I keep growing!

I am getting better at putting myself to sleep for naps and at night time. I am still waking up during the night to eat but I fall right back to sleep after I eat. Mommy is proud of me that I can put myself to sleep with only crying for a few minutes. Mommy made me a stuffed doggy that is named Cocoa that helps me fall asleep. I love to snuggle with him!

I'm getting big

Soo last week I decided to trick everyone and make them think I was ready to roll over. I rolled over ONCE on Feb 4 (which is my Oma's birthday). I haven't done it since then. I just wanted everyone to be aware it could happen again at any time! HAHAHA.... I am really having fun these days... I am playing more with my toys and am laughing constantly. My favorite toys right now are a ball that has lots of holes in it so I can hold onto it, a rattle, and a dragonfly that has all sorts of fun things on it. I hold onto these and shake them and try and put them in my mouth! I also am really starting to like my kitty Cruiser. He sits next to me and I pet him and sometimes I try to pull out his hair, but he just sits there and is nice to me! It has still been kinda cold so Mommy and Daddy haven't been able to take me on many walks. Mommy took me yesterday and it was kinda cold! She bundled me up and I was toasty so I fell asleep! Sleep... hmmm what a hard thing for me right now! I love to sleep but I also wake up 2-3 times at night and sometimes have a hard time falling asleep. Mommy decided to try and 'Ferberize' me... basically she lays me down, gives me a kiss, tells me its time for nigh night and walks out of my room... I cry and cry but only for a few minutes until she comes in and kisses me and tells me shhhh its ok baby, and then she lays me on my side and walks out again... Usually she just stays in my doorway to make sure I am ok... I try soo hard to calm down- I hold my hands together and suck on my henri... It works after just a few minutes and then I fall asleep... Mommy just started last night with this so hopefuly I can figure it out soon so that I don't cry as much and I can just fall asleep on my own! Then if I wake up at night I will just be able to fall back asleep! YEAH!!! That would make Mommy and Daddy sooo happy!!! Well I think that is about all of my news for now... I am trying really hard to get a tooth to come in but it is just causing me pain instead of poking through.. I will keep working on it tho!

South Carolina

I had my first trip to South Carolina this weekend!! Although it almost didn't happen!! We were planning on leaving Saturday morning to meet Nana and Papa there for a quick trip to celebrate their anniversary but then Daddy decided to get off work on Friday and go for a little bit longer! We left after Mommy came home from work and as we started down the road it started raining... then snowing... YUCK!!! Daddy was worried about driving in it and didn't wanna wreck since I was in the car... We drove to Dalton, Georgia (about 30 minutes away) and it wasn't getting better... We decided to drive on the interstate and it was fine! When we got to Atlanta it was 54 degrees and sunny out! I got tired of riding in the car after a while and we had to stop so I could take a break and get out of my seat. It took us about 5 1/2-6 hours to get to Columbia, and we checked into our hotel and Mommy and Daddy got food to eat for dinner. I stayed up for a little bit and then I got ready for bed. Mommy had a hard time getting me to sleep because I was soo interested in looking around at everything! In the morning Mommy put me in my bathing suit even though it was big on me, and we went to a big bathtub! Daddy held me and took me in the water. I wasn't sure at first- not upset or mad but just didn't know what to think of it all. After Daddy held me a bit Mommy held me and showed me how to splash. After she showed me how to splash I started kicking and splashing and loving the water! It was really fun! I didn't like getting out but I was tired and took a nap after we got back to our room! After I woke up we met Nana and Papa and went and saw Mommy's old house and where she went to school. It was cool to 'see' where she grew up even though I didn't really see it too much. We drove around downtown Columbia and we thought about going to a basket ball game but couldn't get tickets. We just went shopping at different places and got some South Carolina things. On Sunday morning we went to Mommy's old church- she hadn't been there in 11 years- and everyone was soo surprised at how grown up she was and that she had me!! I went to the nursery and everyone had so much fun with me even though I had a major blow out! I had to wear just a onesie without any pants!! haha oh well at least I'm a baby and I dont care!! I had such a good time on our trip! I wanna go back sometime when I can handle riding in the car a bit longer! Oh and I NEED a picture with a palmetto tree!! We didn't get to get one since it was raining!
