Its almost time!!!

I went to the Dr today and am only 1cm dilated. He asked me how long we wanted to wait for him to arrive before we induce. What a hard question to answer! I mean I'm ready for him to be here now but then oh my goodness he could be here at anytime! So we are giving him until Monday to arrive. If he doesn't make an appearance this week then we will go to the hospital Sunday at midnight to get my first dose of medicine to start the process! I am also starting tomorrow a medication to increase my platelets. I have to go 4 times... once every 12 hours to get an IV with the medicine. I start at 9am Wednesday morning and then again at 9pm and the same on Thursday. Then I will have high enough platelets to get an epidural if I need or want to get it. I am so excited to meet our baby and can't wait until Monday when he arrives!

almost time for Aaron to arrive!

I am soo excited to meet our son! We are getting soo close! I can't believe it is September already! I am soo ready to meet him! I am having a really hard time getting up out of chairs ( I almost got stuck on the swing at work today!)... Oh and last weekend I almost didn't fit in the booth at Hardees! If he would have been a tiny bit bigger I would not have fit!!! I went to the Dr yesterday and was not dilated but he is big! I had an ultrasound to see his size and the tech said I expect him to be a little bigger than the average 6 1/2 lbs... and sure enough he is measuring around 7lbs 10 oz... He has a lot of hair and is definitely a boy!! I thought he may be coming last night and thought maybe my water had broken but after a trip to the hospital they decided I was not leaking fluid and sent me home... I was kinda disappointed but didn't think he was quite ready to come see us anyway! Here is a new picture of him... He kept putting his hand in front of his face and wouldn't move it!

Getting Closer!!!

We are getting closer! Not too much longer and we will get to meet this little squirmy boy! July has been a busy month! We have had lots of activities on the weekends making it hard to actually relax! Last weekend Katherine went to meet her family in Knoxville and went to the zoo. It was fun and we will have to go back when Aaron is actually is here! His new knickname is squirmy as that is all that he does is squirm around in his mommy's tummy! He is constantly moving around and adjusting to his smaller environment! He is growing quickly and now my waist (Katherine's) is larger than his daddy's and he is still growing! Each week I grow about a half an inch around! It is a fun experience!

27 weeks with our stroller/car seat

We have been working on various things for the nursery. I have made a pillow of his name as well as a blanket made of scraps that I had left over from other various things I made for him. We got our stroller/car seat from my parents last weekend and enjoyed setting that up and getting it ready for him! We are pretty much ready and can't wait to meet him! I go to the doctor again on July 1st for just a regular appointment to listen to his heartbeat and get measured. I hope I haven't gained too much weight since we have been walking every morning now! He is getting bigger and I can only imagine how much bigger he will be!

100 days to go!

Less than a hundred days until we meet our little boy! We are so excited! We went to Atlanta on Sunday to a Braves game and although he slept a lot he kicked a few times and seemed excited to be at the game:). Monday, I had to do my glucose test at the Dr, and drank some fruit punch flavored stuff and sat for an hour to get my blood drawn. We heard his heart beat again and got measured! I gained about 6 lbs which is a little bit much but at least he is growing and everyone can see his growth!

This past weekend we had a long road trip and drove to South Dakota. We left Thursday evening at about 10:30 PM and arrived in Sioux Falls around 1 PM on Friday. It was hard being up all night but we were anxious to get there and not stop! We went shopping on Friday and went to a few yard sales Saturday morning then prepared for the shower! Most of Andrew's female relatives were able to come and they brought their children as well. My sister-in-law was the only one from my family able to make it. We played a few games and then opened gifts! Aaron is soo spoiled already! He got lots of much needed things and will make use of all of the presents he got! We stayed until Sunday evening and then started the trip back home. We stopped in Kansas City ( Overland Park, Kansas actually) and slept for the night and then finished up. We stopped at a outlet mall and got Aaron some more clothes. We also stopped in Nashville and ate dinner with Kristy and Barry. It was a good trip and we had a great time! It was hard to go back to work on Wednesday! Thanks to everyone for the gifts! 

Preparing for Aaron

It has been a fun week since we've learned the gender of our baby! Andrew decided he needed to learn diaper changing so he would know what to do when the baby comes, so we got a stuffed animal and some diapers and got to work. He did pretty good it will take some more practice but he will do a great job! This week also was a consignment sale in Cleveland and so I went and was able to buy some clothes for Aaron. There isn't much variety for boys but I got quite a bit for him for about $55! I was happy and excited to be able to shop for him! Andrew and I went shopping a little bit today and Andrew is having fun picking out fun outfits for his boy! We are going to South Dakota this next week and will be having a shower while we are there! We are excited to be getting more things for our baby and preparing more for him!
