28 weeks

27 weeks with our stroller/car seat

We have been working on various things for the nursery. I have made a pillow of his name as well as a blanket made of scraps that I had left over from other various things I made for him. We got our stroller/car seat from my parents last weekend and enjoyed setting that up and getting it ready for him! We are pretty much ready and can't wait to meet him! I go to the doctor again on July 1st for just a regular appointment to listen to his heartbeat and get measured. I hope I haven't gained too much weight since we have been walking every morning now! He is getting bigger and I can only imagine how much bigger he will be!

100 days to go!

Less than a hundred days until we meet our little boy! We are so excited! We went to Atlanta on Sunday to a Braves game and although he slept a lot he kicked a few times and seemed excited to be at the game:). Monday, I had to do my glucose test at the Dr, and drank some fruit punch flavored stuff and sat for an hour to get my blood drawn. We heard his heart beat again and got measured! I gained about 6 lbs which is a little bit much but at least he is growing and everyone can see his growth!

This past weekend we had a long road trip and drove to South Dakota. We left Thursday evening at about 10:30 PM and arrived in Sioux Falls around 1 PM on Friday. It was hard being up all night but we were anxious to get there and not stop! We went shopping on Friday and went to a few yard sales Saturday morning then prepared for the shower! Most of Andrew's female relatives were able to come and they brought their children as well. My sister-in-law was the only one from my family able to make it. We played a few games and then opened gifts! Aaron is soo spoiled already! He got lots of much needed things and will make use of all of the presents he got! We stayed until Sunday evening and then started the trip back home. We stopped in Kansas City ( Overland Park, Kansas actually) and slept for the night and then finished up. We stopped at a outlet mall and got Aaron some more clothes. We also stopped in Nashville and ate dinner with Kristy and Barry. It was a good trip and we had a great time! It was hard to go back to work on Wednesday! Thanks to everyone for the gifts! 

Preparing for Aaron

It has been a fun week since we've learned the gender of our baby! Andrew decided he needed to learn diaper changing so he would know what to do when the baby comes, so we got a stuffed animal and some diapers and got to work. He did pretty good it will take some more practice but he will do a great job! This week also was a consignment sale in Cleveland and so I went and was able to buy some clothes for Aaron. There isn't much variety for boys but I got quite a bit for him for about $55! I was happy and excited to be able to shop for him! Andrew and I went shopping a little bit today and Andrew is having fun picking out fun outfits for his boy! We are going to South Dakota this next week and will be having a shower while we are there! We are excited to be getting more things for our baby and preparing more for him!

We went for our ultrasound on the 27th and were excited that we got to go back right away and did not have to wait around! Katherine's Mom  as well as our friend Traci were able to come and enjoy this experience with us! At first the baby was curled up in a ball and we weren't sure if he was going to show us anything. We had a student tech at first and then the regular ultrasound tech started trying to get him moving and was pushing on my belly. He finally moved around enough and showed us himself and revealed he was a boy!! Stubborn little guy but I guess he was sleeping and didn't want to be woken up just like his momma!!:) Anyway here are a few pictures of our beautiful baby boy!!!

17 weeks

Lil P is growing more and more! I am starting to show and so here is a new picture of my growing belly! I am also soo excited because we went to the Dr yesterday and he is going to do our ultrasound in 2 weeks! We will hopefully find out if Lil P is a boy or a girl if  s/he cooperates with us! I really hope that it cooperates and already told Andrew he has to have a stern conversation with the baby before we go!:) 

CRIB!

We decided that we would put the crib together since Andrew finished it. It didn't take us too long and now we are one step closer to being ready! Now we just have to wait for September! We can't wait to meet our baby in September!
